"Today,
I forgot my pen
forgot that I was breathing
I forgot my phone
so I forgot my plans
forgot who I was meeting.
I also forgot how to forget
all that you had taught me.
and I walked to your doorstep
to tell you I was sorry.
But you weren't home,
the house was for sale
the realtor was already
showing this yuppie couple
your backyard.
So I guess this is my last chance
to make the same mistakes
all over again.
I am getting older
wiser,
maybe.
and I feel like I sailor
bound to travel endlessly
